Welcome to the American Austrian Foundation’s Spring/Summer newsletter. In addition to our largest program, the Open Medical Institute, the AAF has a number of programs for artists, conductors, journalists, diplomats, and curators, as well as medical students and residents. This fulfills our mission of fostering exchanges between the United States and Austria in science and the arts.
Our programs are directed at young people, at the start of their careers, helping them get a leg up on their journey, while at the same time allowing them to experience the culture and norms in a new country, to broaden their horizons, and foster new relationships and friendships between people of different backgrounds and nationalities.
