Leonard Weiss, who received the AAF/Faber Young Conductors Fellowship and spent one month at the Salzburg Festival in 2023, was selected as 2025 Tanglewood Conducting Fellow. As one of only two selected conducting fellows, Leonard Weiss will conduct numerous performances with the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra under the mentorship of Andris Nelsons, followed by a prestigious 2026 mainstage debut with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, shared with Andris Nelson.
Leonard Weiss also shared that he recenlty had his debut with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl with an audience of over 10,000 guests. He has several performances coming up this spring and summer with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music amongst others.
