This summer, the Salzburg Stiftung of the American Austrian Foundation once again opened the doors of Schloss Arenberg to welcome young opera enthusiasts. Four camps – Jedermann, Marriage of Figaro, Orfeo and Falstaff took place between July 16 and August 12, 2023. In no time, the historic castle was transformed into a charming opera house, resonating with the passion of young opera fans. Melodies and acting scenes filled the air as they sang, played their instruments, and created their own stage sets.
Experienced mentors guided rehearsals, shaping raw talent into refined performances. Over twenty skilled musicians from the esteemed Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and guest artists added their brilliance to the mix. The result was a series of captivating performances in the festival district for large audiences.
Schloss Arenberg stood as a historic monument and a testament to the transformative power of music. Amidst its storied walls, a new generation of artists flourished, promising exciting futures shaped by creativity and collaboration.
